AI-Assisted Workflows

AI belongs in your workflow when the task is genuinely ambiguous, the data is unstructured, or a human judgment call is being repeated hundreds of times a week. Not before.

When AI is justified

AI adds value in workflows where the input is variable, unstructured, or requires language understanding. If a deterministic rule can make the decision, we use automation instead — it's cheaper, faster, and more auditable.

  • Triage and classification of inbound requests, tickets, or documents
  • Summarization of long-form content for faster human review
  • First-draft generation for templated communications
  • Retrieval and synthesis from large internal knowledge bases
  • Decision support scoring where human judgment is still required
  • Extraction from unstructured documents and forms

When AI is not the right answer

We will tell you directly when AI is not the right tool. Common situations where we recommend against it:

  • The task can be handled by a deterministic rule or structured automation
  • The data quality is too poor to support reliable AI output
  • There is no governance plan for reviewing and correcting AI decisions
  • The organization isn't ready to maintain AI outputs operationally
  • The risk of a wrong answer is high and human review is not built in
  • A cheaper, more reliable fix already exists in the current stack

How we design AI workflows

Human review by design

Every AI step has a defined review gate. AI outputs are surfaced to a human with context, not sent downstream automatically without approval.

Confidence thresholds

Low-confidence outputs route to a human queue. High-confidence outputs can proceed. Thresholds are set with your team and reviewed after go-live.

Audit trail

Every AI decision is logged with the input, output, model used, and timestamp. You can review any decision and understand why the AI produced it.

Override and correction paths

Every AI step has a documented override path. Humans can correct, escalate, or reject outputs without breaking the workflow.

Drift monitoring

AI model behavior changes over time. We set up monitoring so you know when output quality is degrading before it causes operational problems.

No vendor lock-in

We design workflows so the AI component can be swapped if a better or cheaper model becomes available. You own the workflow, not the vendor.

AI-Assisted Pilot Sprint

Scoped Pilot

AI-Assisted Pilot Sprint

4–6 weeks · Fixed fee

A scoped pilot to implement one AI-assisted workflow, validate it against real operational data, and establish the governance framework before broader rollout. We build, test, tune, and hand off with full documentation. Governance infrastructure is included — not optional.

  • Workflow design with human review gates
  • Model selection and prompt engineering
  • Integration with your existing systems
  • Confidence threshold configuration
  • Audit logging and override paths
  • Drift monitoring setup
  • Operator documentation and team training
  • Post-launch tuning period (30 days)
